Many people ask how I make my hooves and here is my method. I did try to make a picture for it, but it would not save so I will have to explain through typing.
STEP 1: Start with a white hoof and fill it in with your selected color choice using the paint brush or bucket tool depending on what you like.
STEP 2: After you have filled your hoof with your selected color choose another color like the 1st that is lighter and make a stripe down the center of the hoof with that color. (If you choose black choose gray, if you choose red choose an orange, navy blue a sky blue ect.)
STEP 3: After you complete Step 2 made use the Smudge tool and smudge together the stripe along with the solid of the hoof. After you are satisfied with how your hoof turned out you can stop the smudging. And then you have finished your first hoof. Do this for the remaining 3 hooves.
